Backblip -

It seems unlikely now that we'll be doing the guided glacier walk on La Grande Motte as the weather's set to change tomorrow, but having been offered white water rafting for free this afternoon that's what we did, and it was really good fun and something new for me.

We navigated - I say that loosely since we were only following instructions - grades 2-5 of white water.  No-one in our French/English mixed raft fell in thank goodness and it was a great feeling riding the waves.  Since the afternoon was primarily for the local hotel staff to experience the activity and therefore be able to sell it with enthusiasm over the summer, we were lucky enough to be on the water for twice as long as the paying customers will be :-)  No photos of the rafting for obvious reasons!

This flower was snapped on a stroll around the Lac de Tignes this morning.  I've taken so many photos of wild flowers this holiday, but haven't got round to trying to identify any of them yet.
