Queeny, aren't you looking young!?

Look what turned up at work today!? Who would have thought people would still be carrying these around thinking that they could use them.. I don't even remember them! After some minor research into the matter, I have discovered that the pound coin was introduced in 1983 & the pound note was removed from circulation in 1988. I had to ask to take it home & it is well worth it's Blippage. We also had a dodgy looking & funny feeling £5 note, but that actually turned out to be real. We think it had something to do with the Swedes that were visiting & the possibility that they haven't been to the UK for 30 years!

This odd bit of change came with the change of scenery today. I was posted at the Club House for the day shift & it was alright. It was very quiet & there was very little to do, unlike over at the Hotel where there's generally much more going on, & inevitably more cutlery to polish! The newspaper & Sky Sports got a healthy look in.
