Not the castle

I was in the centre of Edinburgh today and thought how difficult it was to take interesting photos of such familiar landmarks. The South Bridge was full of tourists taking snaps of that wonderful view towards the castle. So I crossed the road and took a couple facing the other way looking past St Andrews House up towards Carlton Hill.

I was really pleased at the quality of the iPhone photo, I decided to use it as a blip. St Andrews House looks as if it has been carved out of the hillside. It is a gem of a building. Sometimes it is good to be reminded of the familiar.
