Tailor, Chinatown, Singapore

Day 5

A ride on the MRT to Chinatown. I thought of GP when I saw this very stylish attire. A walk past Hindu and Buddhist temples, and on to a delicious cake shop where we bought egg tarts. We smelt a Durian stall before we saw it (extra).

A visit to the Urban Redevelopment Authority, based in the City Gallery. Excellent displays, many interactive, on how the city state has been planned and designed.

Fresh juices - sugarcane, lime, and pineapple at the local Hawker Centre, where Gordon Ramsay recently came for some cookery lessons.

We enjoyed dinner with the family back at their flat. "Twenkil, Twenkil, Little Star" songs.
