Dream, Marina Bay, Singapore

Day 6

We had a day exploring the Gardens by the Bay which are outside, that is not in the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest. It was hot. 30C. I used my umbrella as a sunshade.

Beautiful ponds, lakes, themed areas. My favourite was the contemplative Chinese Garden.

We then crossed the bridge into the Marina Bay Sands hotel. An amazing structure. The Lobby area is vast, spanning the three towers. There are link escalators through to the equally vast shopping mall, complete with internal river and boats.

From there we wandered to the Helix Bridge, and then around the Bay, to the Merlion. There are huge cooling fans where I took the main shot, most welcome.

We managed well on our own in the MRT, and driverless LRT. This evening we attended E's concert at the Yamaha School. He did so well. Then out to try Peranakan food for the first time. More spicy. Delicious. I am being quite adventurous with new food options.
