Ensco 102

This evening, the doorbell caused me to look out the window otherwise I would have been unaware of the arrival of this jack-up rig in the Firth of Forth. Seen here between my neighbour's trees.

It is the ENSCO 102, and since it is currently without a contract, it has been brought in to be parked up (I believe the correct term is 'stacked'). There are already four other rigs in the Forth though not of this jack-up type.

Also of note in the Firth:
This week week has been a right Royal occasion.

First was HMS Queen Elizabeth, the latest aircraft-carrier for the Navy. It keeps running off to sea and then appearing back off Kirkcaldy.
Then the Queen hersef visited Holyrood today.
Finally, this evening, Cunard's cruise ship 'Queen Elizabeth' sailed out of the Forth (in the 'extra').
