Green and Gold

I didn't expect to have to give the down jacket an airing for a few more weeks but it certainly got one tonight.

The air was bracing and cold and as fresh as new life. I love the crispness of cold when you're wrapped up, as much as I love the kiss of the warming sun.

This Green and Gold may be Gold and Gold before long, and maybe White and Blue soon after.

We followed a meadow pipit on the top of the moor for a good 5 minutes as it flitted in front of us on the path like Lassie leading us away from danger or toward rescue. I've seen this in the Lake District before, but the local pipits here are usually more inclined to hide themselves until your just upon them and then fly off to the right. Never got a decent photo yet despite their number!

Thank you for the kind feedback for Don Corlepony - there'll be more :o)
