An ordinary life....

Happy New Haircut!

At last Alan has had his hair cut.  It is weeks overdue due to various circumstances but the stars aligned today and him and Ali headed off to the barber's this afternoon and thankfully Heather (he'll only let Heather cut his hair) was working.

Not only am I relieved to see it cut, I am relieved that she was able to give him his usual short, back and sides as last time he was there she just gave him a scissor cut as his hair was thin and falling out as a result of the trauma of his bowel surgery at the end last year.  She reassured us it would thicken up again and thankfully she was right.   If he takes after his dad, male pattern baldness will be affecting him soon enough, but for now, his hair is back to it's usual plentiful self.

My plans for today ended up changing as Ele went with Jennifer to hospital this morning to have lump (technical term :-) on her arm looked at.  Jen thought she would be given an appointment to go back and have it removed but they decided to do it there and then.  In the end I went to Ele's at 4pm to pick her up as Jen was going out and needed Ele's car.  This was fine as it meant I got to have a nice run in the car.

We got back just as David and Kenny returned from playing golf.  Somehow David has managed to lose his putter (pure coincidence that he was talking recently about needing a new putter.)  Maybe someone will hand it in.

Watched the start of the Murray match at Wimbledon.whilst making dinner then watched the end of it whilst eating dinner.  Think we all had indigestion at the end!  He certainly likes to put us through the mill does Andy.  Still, all's well that ends well.

And now it's the weekend.  Have a good one blip pals.
