Ole Stinker

Went down to Crinan today - Nick Walker was doing his annual free trips round the 'arbour in the old puffer, VIC 32, built in Yorkshire in 1943.  He had bought her in 1975,  restored her and in 2002 gave her to the Puffer Preservation Trust.

She may not be up to scratch in the anti-pollution stakes, but I can't deny that a black cloud of old-fashioned coal smoke does smell rather good!

Obviously the idea of the free trips is to encourage people to make donations, so if you decide to visit her on either Sunday or Monday, please be generous!

You can read VIC 32's history here.
