Horse Head

After packing up and leaving the campsite we drove the short distance to the tiny hamlet of Yockenthwaite in Upper Wharfedale. We headed up across Horse Head Moor to the summit of Horse Head. From the top the views encompassed all three Yorkshire Peaks: Whernside, Pen-y-Gent and Ingleborough (stitched panorama in extras). The blip was taken as we ascended and is the view back over Yockenthwaite. We walked along the ridge for a couple of kilometres before descending back to the valley. The return to the car was along a beautiful section of river with loads of small cascades and limestone features.
