Out Of My Way!

We are now settled in High Paradise Farm, in the Yorkshire Moors National Park, but just for one night, which is a shame as it is very nice - remote, but nice! There are free-range hens, ducks, goats and sheep and good views. Situated close to the Cleveland Way, many walkers use the B&B, but we will be nipping over to the opposite side of the moors to revisit the place where we think my Paternal Grandfather was born.

I am quite encouraged by the dimensions of the High Paradise buildings, whose footprint seems similar to the footings we observed at Lockey, which we will examine more closely. We may never be certain but, if nothing comes of this visit, at least we have tried and have discovered another lovely place to stay.

Oh, and the tractor? It had to reverse to allow us to pass on our way to dinner at the Whitestone Cliffe Inn in Sutton under Whitestonecliffe - and very good it was, too.
