Not ice cream weather today

A very welcome deluge today, especially this evening. It began to rain in earnest around 5.00pm and was still going hammer and tongs when we went to bed. It's 2 weeks since the last rain of any sort so we were ready for this.

The weather played about with us during the morning too, we were out for a walk via the allotment and got caught in a couple of showers in Mote Park. We took refuge in the cafe (along with many others) where today's blip was taken.

At the allotment we picked a couple of pounds of blackcurrants, some red gooseberries, more beans and courgettes. Got caught in the rain on the way home too.

It was the last Governing Body meeting of the year and potentially my last ever as a Governor. However, as there are so many governors leaving I volunteered to stay until Christmas (which is only one meeting) to help the new governors into their role. We went out to the Marie Celeste of a pub after the meeting for a drink and something to eat. Good job we turned up as we were the only ones there.
