The sun is so strong and it is so hot that I didn't spend much time outside at all today.  Fortunately, we are heading north to cooler temperatures tonight and will be away from this blistering heat until Monday.   More about that tomorrow. 

Thanks to all who took a stab at my mystery macro yesterday.  I have loaded a full shot into the extras.  It is a tiny plastic pony-tail tie, about 1.5 inches in diameter.  I admit the close-up did look like a phone cord, but you won't find any of those in this house, we got rid of our landlines years ago.
