and a bit of utilitarian architecture. An old bonded warehouse, long ago (1987?) converted into flats.
We did another sting at the allotment today. A horrible sight awaited us: one of the feeders had a loose top, and a greedy fledgling starling had gone in that way, stuck its head out of one of the holes at the bottom, and got stuck. It hadn't survived, needless to say.
Anyway, I dealt with it, got rid of the defective feeder and then transplanted the leeks.
