Fetlar Sunset

We spent the night by the Loch of Watlee, and had our breakfast watching 2 adult and 4 juvenile Red Throated Divers. Divers are fairly common in Shetland and are widely seen on the inland lochs. As a protected species you can’t get close and photograph at the nest without a permit; we watched at a distance. We got the early ferry from Unst to Fetlar and had a good look around the island on what was the warmest day of the year so far in Shetland. It was 15.6 centigrade. There is no campsite on Fetlar and they recommend parking at the ferry so that is where we went. After the great day the cloud came in from the south west and led to this sunset.
