Tosturi yn y glaw ~ Compassion in the rain

Roedden ni'n aros yn Swydd Amwythig, heb fod ymhell o'r ffin gyda Chymru. Trefnasom ni ymweld â Satipanya, Canolfan Bwdist dros y ffin ym Mhowys. Mae Satipanya mewn traddodiadol gwahanol i ni. Maen nhw'n fwy mynachaidd - yn yr hen draddodiad Bwda. Cawson ni ein cwrdd gan Bhante Bodhidhama oedd dangos i ni o gwmpas yr ardd ac esbonio eu traddodiad.  Edrychon ni ar gerflun Kwanyin - Bwda Tosturi. Gwnaeth Bhante Bodhidhama jôc - mae'r cerflun yn crio dagrau o dosturi am ddioddefaint y byd - ond dim ond pan mae'n bwrw glaw.

We were staying in Shropshire, not far from the border with Wales. We scheduled a visit to Satipanya, a Buddhist Centre across the border in Powys. Satipanya is in different traditional from us. They are more monastic - in the old tradition of the Buddha. We were met by Bhante Bodhidhama who showed us around the garden and explained their tradition. We looked at the statue of Kwanyin - The Buddha of  Compassion. Bhante Bodhidhama made a joke - the statue cries tears of compassion for the suffering of the world - but only when it rains.
