Tourists

We went into Cambridge this morning, mainly for a walk around, stopping for several coffees, cake and a jacket potato for lunch.

Today’s picture was taken of this group of tourists taking photographs of each other near Newton’s Mathematical Bridge. I did wonder if they would fall in, or if the bag on the left of the picture would get knocked into the river; no catastrophes for the tourists. However, my husband did misjudge the pavement and landed on his bottom; fortunately no damage was done and some tourists and one of the guys selling punts helped him up.

A very hot and sunny day, which meant Cambridge was crowded, but there were fewer people when we walked around The Backs, where we saw a poorly cow in the meadow behind King’s College. It was being attended to by three people, possibly a vet; they were also providing water in buckets for it.
