BARK!!
The building of the next pair of raised beds progresses. If not "apace" it progresses nevertheless.
2nd pair built, 1st pair are slowly filling, by the "Lasagne gardening" method.
After an assortment of layers, the last was "greens", basically garden weedings etc. This was topped by a layer of "browns"; in this case something which the bag declared was ... "Large Landscape Bark".
I don't think my eyes are so decrepit yet that I can't tell the difference between bark and wood chips, of which, I think this load comprises ≥10-15%.
Not to worry, there'll be soil on top, it'll settle down, and, like as not have no crop in until next year.
