White-crowned Sparrow

This little bird was chirping up a storm just over our heads when we were visiting our niece's campsite on Sunday.  Since s/he was begging to be blipped I felt I should oblige.  This was the best shot of him (or her) even though you can't see the white crown.  You'll just have to take my word for it.  We had a nice visit despite the biting black flies and the rain.  They are tent campers so the four of us and Piper huddled under the EZ Up until the storm passed....well, not really passed, just let up for a little while.  We decided to head back to our camp about 10 miles west hoping to beat the rain because we had left blankets on the clothesline to air out.  The blankets got a good washing, as did our chairs....and our firewood.  Luckily it was only a small bundle of wood.  The rest was covered.  It really poured for a few hours so we went inside the trailer and watched "Grumpy Old Men".  By the time the movie ended, the storm had finally passed and it was a really nice evening.  So we lit a fire (with our dry wood) and sat around it until bed time. :-)
