Theatre and Afternoon Tea

G, M and I had a wonderful day today in Norwich. Following a quick shop in M&S, we went for an early Afternoon Tea at The Assembly House followed by a short walk to the theatre next door to see Jane Eyre. The afternoon tea was lovely and no we didn't finish everything on those plates, although I have to admit to there being two warm scones each in addition to what's in the photo! Jane Eyre is a touring production by the National Theatre and the Bristol Old Vic. I thought it was fantastic and very innovative, really bringing out the characters and their psychology rather than the more traditional costume drama approach. It certainly deserved the standing ovation it got. What a lovely way to spend the day, particularly after some nasty storms overnight.
