Piling up

Blipped on 20/7/17.

Heard from Simon in the morning. He and Adam started first thing with the hope of completing today in time to get the cleaner in to finish her part. One of the first things he mentioned was that a leg for the armchair had a bad thread on it, so it couldn't anchor on to the piece. Outcome: We have to go back to IKEA to change the part.

G & I raced off to do just that. Amazingly, it took a couple of hours but they handed us a modified piece that will work, as they didn't have replacements. Phew. Had to collect the curtains too, as well as change some other things that Simon had identified. All done, and we headed back to hand the good leg back to Simon. A few more pieces have been assembled, but they are still no-where near finishing. Argh. I would love to know why it is taking so long but it's not the time to say the wrong thing and lose the tradesmen we have!!

I don't know what time they finished, but I do know that they had the cleaner out to do the windows and wardrobes; in fact, G & I had to drop her off at Oroklini so that the guys could continue uninterrupted. We are leaving tomorrow. Yikes!

My blip is of the corridor... IKEA boxes piled up outside the door; they really tell a story. It's a good thing there aren't any other residents to complain. There are three front doors in the picture.
