Holiday!

So many photos to choose from today!!
I could have blipped the beautiful sunrise (which I saw when the birds woke me up at dawn!); breakfast outside the tent - drinking tea and soaking up the wonderful view; The Little Misses and Miss R climbing trees and running round; Archie running like a loon on the beach jumping in and out of the waves; Miss E skimming stones in the sea (without much success); all of us collecting perfect white pebbles - as special "family stones"; eating delicious fish and chips (which I had without the batter as, for the first time ever, I'm being good on my diet despite being on holiday); hours in the arcade on the penny slots and the piano challenge game; the ice creams on the pier (which I couldn't resist having had a tiny taste of Mr K's apple and cinnamon. The most delicious ice cream I've ever eaten and well worth the calories!!); the goodies bought in the shop - Miss E's beach hut money box which she named Dolphin after her favourite beach hut on the beach, our traditional fridge magnet and a couple of lovely new enamel seaside mugs to better enjoy our camping cups of tea; admiring ourselves in the crazy mirrors on the pier (I particularly liked the one that made me look taller and skinnier!!); the long walk back to the campsite to pick up the crabbing gear and head off to the harbour for the annual catch-as-many-crabs-as-we-can-and-then-have-a-crab-race fun. It was freezing and a bit rainy but we're hard core!!; The incredible sunset; the typical camping dinner of hot dogs and beans; the washing up; me wrapped in my old lady blanket with a hot water bottle on my knee and the hot chocolate and marshmallows in my lovely new mug.......
What a bloody brilliant day!!!!
