Fun in an Austin Seven

Back to the normal perambulatory exercise around the village, we stopped at a neighbour's house where he's just picked up an old Austin Seven for a bit of work. Seemingly he restored it years ago, and it's come back for a bit of additional love.

Well, it got a lot of Lurve from Janet, as you can see!

There are hundreds of butterflies out there today, particularly comma, holly blue, meadow browns and small heaths. The small heaths especially are loving the oregano we've let go to flower in the veg beds. Large whites of course all over the verbena.

The first tranche of emails has been gone through, and answered where needful (and avoided where appropriate!).

The village remains under siege from developers and it's a tough ask to engage with them, in the knowledge there are no good outcomes to be had. But if the WECA plans are confirmed then we'll have to try and channel the tsunami, because damming it won't be an option. Sucks to be me, sometimes.
