Morning, Minus Tide

The sun never exactly came out today. Somewhere in the world there is probably a weather word for this phenomenon, but we just say, "Hey, weird day."

It was nice to be on the beach this morning. The sands have shifted again, creating steep slopes by the river mouth; when the tide comes back in, that area will drop off fast and be dangerously deep. There's a lifeguard tower right at the river mouth, which means somebody else has noticed this too.
