Basking

Headed over to Chiesi dei Santiago Martiri Giorgio e Caterina that we'd seen from up on the Bastion yesterday. Beautiful modern church with stunning huge stained glass windows. Found a cafe called Alice and they very kindly gave me a mug with the name on to give to AR.
Walked over to the marina to sort out a hire car for the next few days then explored some shops (nothing very interesting) before heading to the little sister of 'Dal Corsaro' restaurant, called Fork. Very delicious 2 course lunch....fine dining on the cheap!
Home for a rest (it's been really hot today!) then caught the bus to the beach. We're the only people who seem to have tickets, let alone validate them!
Had a couple of relaxing hours on the beach....surprisingly cool water and a relief from the sun....there wasn't the wind that we had to cool us down the other day. Much busier, but we started a new story then snoozed and swam. Gorgeous turquoise sea, blue skies and sun....the lens was a bit smeared with sun cream but I quite liked this effect straight out of the camera!
Home on a very busy bus for a shower before out for an evening stroll.....saw lots of people tango dancing in the square....taking it very seriously! We stopped for pink fizz and a meat/cheese platter (extra) then frito misto (but no chips to K's annoyance!) and polished off with another delicious ice cream. Home pretty tired from all that relaxing!
