Cycling, street music and a 50th birthday party

Today we decided to take the bikes to cover more ground quicker.
Friday is Türkenmarkt and I wanted to get some more cherries. They were sooooo good on Tuesday.
The market was busy and we walked along the stalls while I was trying to identify the cherry dealer from Tuesday.
At the other end of the market was the "grumpy guy's" galette stall. He travels around in Berlin and we saw him at quite a few locations. He always seems stressed and grumpy, but today he was in a better mood. Since I had not had breakfast I decided to use this good moment to try his galettes. They are made from buckwheat and thus safe for me.
I watched the making and then got a lovely breakfast on the hand.
Since I was not able to find the cherry dealer from 2 days ago I picked another one and got a small bag.
Next stop was Kaffee pur, one of the coffee roasters we regularly visit and we had a coffee and bought a couple of bags to take home.
We then cycled to Schlesische Straße to have another coffee at 19 grams, another roaster (Tres Cabezas) who also makes delicious decaf beans. Another two bags to take home.
It was already short before 5 pm and we had Dani's birthday party to go to which started at 6 pm.
We heard some music down the street and decided to have a quick look before getting on the road home.
There was a band playing on the green and the music was great. We stayed a bit and listened to them. They were from Australia and I liked it so much that I bought their mini CD for 5 Euros.
We were home to get changed and took the U-Bahn to Alt Mariendorf, where the party was.
It was a garden party and we were lucky with the weather.
We met Frank and Petra of whom we bought our flat 2 years ago and it was nice to catch up.
We had prosecco all night, not at last in order to tolerate the German "Schlager Musik", which is not at all our taste.
Nonetheless it was a lovely party and in the end we got some music played to our taste! Although it was quite odd to hear Nine Inch Nails in this environment. At least it was not very loud as we had already trouble with the neighbours short after 10 pm ;)
As usual we were the last leaving but had helped quite a bit to clean up already.
We were home at the back of 2 am having had a few too many prosecco (for a reason) and too many "Erdnussflips"  and "Chips" (crisps) ... for no good reason ....

The photo is of that band we saw. They were called "Other Animals".
The extra is the Grumpy Galette guy :)
