Olive View Hike

It's my third hike of the year, second of my friend Eric's hike-a-thon. This hike was like death. Well not really, but it was hot and long! Torrey Pines was such a breeze.

Here Jeremy, Eric's friend, is explaining the manzanita tree. In his words... the manzanita tree, coming from the Spanish word little apple, was used by the native Americans to stimulate saliva production in the mouth to moisten the palette.

Well, Mr. Jeremy thank you for that well constructed and informative piece of information.

Some people speak at such an elevated register. Puts my speech to shame.
