The Outsider

Sometimes it's necessary to remain on the outside.

I was curious to know what so many people were doing up at the Cow and Calf. It turned out they were a big group of young people from Life Church, out for a game of rounders. They were a lovely bunch with a fabulous energy, but I declined when they invited me to join their game. It's not quite cricket, and I wasn't really in the right mood, but I did so with a little regret. I could understand the attraction of being on the inside.
