Birling Gap

After yesterday's miserable day, weather-wise, today promised some sunshine. So I took Mum (and her new camera) off to Birling Gap near Eastbourne for some fresh air and coastal views.

The views were glorious, though we could have done without the wind which was enough to make Mum retreat back to the car, with her kindle and Classic FM on the radio, while I investigated the rock pools on the beach.  Heading home, we got a final view over the South Downs and the  Belle Tout Lighthouse, moved back from the eroding cliff top in 1999, and is now a unigue B&B.
