Bloomin'

Late morning to Arley Hall, before the rain arrived.

It's a lovely place, with superb herbaceous borders, vegetable garden, and the rest.

I liked the flowering artichokes - as did the bees. But they were very difficult to photo, as they have to bury right down into the flower to find the nectar.

No problem for the caterpillars munching the nasturtiums (extra).

A sign on the road leading down to Arley, that I had never seen before - "Frozen whole squirrel for sale, £2". A lot cheaper than whole rabbits - £3.50. But less meat I guess !
