Terminal

It has been sad to see the closure of so many old pubs over the years, victims of changing drinking habits and changing neighbourhoods. Once the heart of their communities, so many  have been deserted as people and times have moved on. The trip to the local corner pub, once something lots of people did, has declined as tastes and habits have changed.

This one is on its last legs, and is as much gigantic buddleia bush as building (this invasive plant seems to be able to grow on nothing in terms of soil). The area around it is changing, and it now sits amongst buildings which the RC diocese is utilising to improve the facilities for the administration of the Salford diocese. Finances are no doubt tight, so progress is a bit slow. It had better speed up before this turns into a fully fledged wood.

Age is sometimes picturesque. And sometimes, it isn't.
