Water Lily

All go today as we get ready to travel to Shropshire tomorrow then on to Edinburgh on Saturday to visit Barbara and David and see some events at the Fringe. Not taking the car, doing the whole journey by train. I did find a couple of hours to go swimming first thing though.

Applied a coat of "Diamond Hard" paint to the studio floor before lunch. That's three coats on there now. One to go. Went to the allotment to pick everything that stood while Susan was cleaning up at her mothers. The Water Lily in the pond has sent up a second flower having not flowered at all last year. The first never really developed beyond a bud and subsequently sank beneath the waves. This one is really lovely though.

Back home it was a matter of dealing and freezing all the vegetables, cooking dinner, making cucumber pickle, washing up, putting away etc. We did find time to walk in the evening in the gathering gloaming getting in at 9.45pm. Still had things to do when we got back - paying a few bills, printing out travel details, writing birthday cards. Susan's done her packing, I'l be doing mine in the morning.
