Stags

We were all up early to finish packing and to get organised as we had a ferry to catch – the ferry to Arran for our annual visit with friends.  We got away in good time and made it to Ardrossan with plenty of time to spare.  The drive through had been very smooth, and we left he dreichness of Edinburgh behind.  We arrived in Brodick about 1.30pm, and headed to our holiday cottage to meet up with everyone.

They were all heading out to play golf, so we dropped our bags and decided to go out for a walk – to make the most of the sunshine and in case there was no more over the weekend.  We drove up to Lochranza and decided to go for a  wander, which turned into a proper walk.  BB and I were not really wearing the appropriate shoes – both wearing trainers - but somehow we managed the walk to Fairy Dell and back without getting overly muddy  and without wet feet.

As we came back into Lochranza, BB walked along the rocky shore and fell – another bleeding knee, elbow and hand (same knee and hand as yesterday when he fell off his scooter, but different elbow!).  He recovered quite quickly though!

We continued our drive round the island to Blackwaterfoot where we met up with everyone for tea.  We all headed home and ended up watching TV!

Stags on the golf course are a common site in Lochranza.
