Buzz Off!

We went to Coughton Court, a National Trust property near Alcester, today to meet Chris and Jean. After a drink and a chat we took a walk round. The weather was fine, for a change, and the crowds were out, presumably awaiting the duck race, the highlight of the day. As we were walking through the grounds there were some tables laid out with produce. This apple, looking a bit damaged, had been settled on by a butterfly. Naturally as I raised the camera for a shot she closed her wings, but kept her place. As I was waiting patiently for the wings to open again this wasp started flying around, obviously with an eye on the apple. Eventually he landed and started bullying the butterfly out of the way, who did eventually fly off leaving it for the wasp.
