A walk on the wild side!

Sunday 13th August 2017             (backblip)

We had a lovely trip out this afternoon ..... we went to Kirkby Moor ...... an area of heathland ........ the sun was shining ........the heather was blooming & the bees were busily buzzing ...... bliss :-)

We had just arrived when we were treated to the Lancaster Bomber (from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight) flying low right over our heads! A wonderful sight! Unfortunately I hadn't turned the camera on!

We wandered around for a couple of hours ..... saw lots of Warblers ...... butterflies ....... a Buzzard circling overhead ....... this little Toad/Frog (not sure which) ....... Dragonflies ....... Damselflies ........ also caught a glimpse of a Muntjac deer disappearing into the thicket!

On the way home we spotted this Hare ..... it was good enough to pose for me for a few seconds!

Hope you like my selection ...... it was a rather difficult choice!
