Mono Monday Challenge - Distant

When I first set out to fulfil this challenge it was a grim rainy day and anything in the far distance was grey and fuzzy. However, I took my compact out with me this afternoon and managed to grab some moody skies looking over Belhaven Bay towards Bass Rock. By having not just an obvious foreground (the sea wall ) but also the gradual recession of Belhaven Bay until in the far distance you can see Bass Rock there is a better sense of scale and the icing on the cake is the moody sky (courtesy of SilverEfexPro). It almost becomes the subject of the picture as it is by far the most distant element.
