Quod oculus meus videt

Birthday Sunrise

Modern technology can be a wonderful thing and today placed me in this position as the sun rose behind these high cloud structures.  That I should have been woken by my watch as the first text of my birthday was received at 5:26 am is testament to how birthday celebrations have changed.  I am sure we all experience something similar; birthday wishes are now received via multiple methods, texts, social media messages, telephone calls, traditional cards and visits.  I did tease my friend about waking me up, but I held no irritation, it was great to be out.

The day was spent on car moving.  First I was supposed to pick up a rental car while the damaged car was in the garage.  I decided to walk to the rental place. A cracking walk along canal towpath and disused railway line only for the vehicle they had for us being a large MPV.  What!  When is that like a small SUV?  I declined and they are now sorting out a same model car and delivering it later.

They dropped me back home so I was in time to drop the damaged car off at the garage.  This time I cycled back.  Finally, picking up my wife from work and an early meal out in celebration.  I then sparked out and had an early night.  After all I'm not getting any younger!

It looks better LARGE.
