We've been having fun

... with Zen Brush for the i-pad.

An early morning trip to Leeds today so that we could look after our youngest grandson while Mum & J went to a hospital appointment. We have known for some time that his hearing was poor and it looks like he'll need his tonsils out as well as grommets for his ears. It's poured with rain all day. The two of them ended up pretty wet when they went for the bus (a much easier journey than by car into central Leeds) and we had a horrendous journey back down the motorway.

We called in for Dad on our way back through Pontefract and then went on to see Mum on our way home so that we could share the spoils of our three for two M&S windfall of smoked salmon. (They'd left a label on the cabinet even though the deal had ended but they still honoured it.)

Once we reached the hillier area near home the rain was pouring down the road in torrents and gathering into huge ponds in the dips. Still we made it and hopefully for us in South Yorkshire we have had the worst of it. The local roads are in a dreadful state as they have been ripped up by water all summer - it doesn't bode well for the winter when the snow and ice will cause even more damage. Maybe it's time to buy a tractor to get around or at least a jeep!
