Eating (not singing) in the rain

A family enjoying lunch in the rain outside the Park Cafe at Hazlehead Park. Earlier we had taken Cosmo to Duthie Park, but after taking Cosmo for a walk around the park, and watching a couple of men with their radio controlled boats in the model boating pool, we head for Hazlehead Park for a coffee. We hoped the cafe at Hazlehead might be less crowded.

We expected the awning sheltering the tables next to the cafe would be out so that we could have a coffee outside and be sheltered form the rain. Unfortunately it seems the awning was a temporary measure put up for some special event, and then removed. It was definitely needed today, and they should consider some arrangement of that kind as a permanent fixture.

Cosmo and I sat under a borrowed umbrella while I had my coffee. The rain was starting to ease by the time we left the cafe so we had another walk here. Cosmo got very angry with one of the sculptures in the park. She was interested in it when she last saw it at Christmas, but this time she was quite irritated and kept barking at it. I have attached an extra showing the offending artwork, it is inspired by Rodin's "Thinker". It is apparent that Cosmo thoughts on the sculpture are not positive.
