If you can't beat them...

Aphids.

A showery day so hardly been outside.  At one point it seemed dry enough to cut the grass, as I stepped out of the door it started to rain!  I did take advantage of one of the dry spells to walk round the garden and point the camera at a few things.

Of the shots I took I decided on this shot of the Aphids (Greenfly) on a new shoot on a rose.  Greenfly can be harmful to plants in large numbers.  As these aren't many and we have a thriving bird population I suspect I will do nothing about them.

Katkatkat had a heavy infestation on the Rhubarb in the allotment.  She tried biological control with bought in Ladybird larvae.   It proved very successful soon reducing the population to almost nil.
