Puffball Visitor

Encouraged by the evidence of fungi at Yateley Common yesterday, today I headed over the Witley Common near Godalming on a Fungi Forray.

It is probably still a little early in the season, but there were plenty to be found, though not too many different species. I found a nice group of young Pestle Puffballs (Lycoperdon exipuliforme).  The group is in extras, but my blip was taken somewhat closer to get this fly which obligingly posed for me
