Magic

We've had a bit more of a relaxed day today as Rachel isn't feeling well.  She started with a headache yesterday, and said she had hot and cold sweats in the night.  Today she had a temperature, a sore throat and still had the headache, so she's been dosing herself up with Day Nurse.

This morning I took Scarlett out and we met up with Sandra and Lana and the park - both girls took their scooters and played in the skate park before going to the play park.  Lana's really good on her scooter and could go down the ramps, but Scarlett's not quite ready for that!

My cleaner has horses, one of which is a Shetland Pony, so after the park, I took Scarlett to the stables to see Barney, who's 28 years old.  Jo said he's very gentle and let Scarlett brush him, feed him some treats and then she let her lead him back into his stable and then Jo's daughter took Scarlett to the hay store and between them, they brought him a net of hay.  Magic is another Shetland that belongs to Jo's friend, but she said he's not an ideal children's pony as he's very jumpy and doesn't like loud noises.

We got home about 12.30pm and Rach said that Violet had been asleep for about an hour, so at least it had given her a bit of a break, and once Violet was up, we went to Prezzo at the marina for lunch.  By then, she was starting to feel a little better, so is hoping it's just a 24 hour bug.

Then this afternoon, I took the girls to work to meet everyone so they can now put a face to their names.  Tonight we haven't done much again,  although Elif called round to see Rach and the girls, and she was so pleased that Scarlett gave her the biggest of hugs!

It's now bedtime, and I need to go to sleep to re-charge my batteries for tomorrow - I don't know where Rach (and other mums for that matter) gets her energy from when she works as well as having two toddlers - they've only been here for a few days and I really am tired!  I wouldn't swap it for the world though!

Hope you've had a good start to the week!
