Here be dragons!

The weather looking better to the west, we headed over to Dyffryn Gardens in South Wales. These gardens were designed as rooms. and are being restored by the National Trust, who took the place over in 2013 from the county council (who had let is slide somewhat from its original splendour).

The Dragon Bowl fountain sits in an ornamental canal with massive koi (larger even than mine!) surviving in the brown muddy water. The rest of the garden takes all day to go around, and is well worth a trot over. I dare say once the bridge tolls are abolished in 2018 we'll be more frequent visitors...
