One More Sleep...

David & I met Gill and her husband Jimmy at the golf club at 11am for brunch then the guys went off to play golf and Gill and I stayed on for more coffee and watch them play the first.  

After they'd gone past, both looking pleased with their first shot, Gill and I headed back to mine for an afternoon catching up.  Alan was over the moon to see Gill.  He really misses her and they have such a special bond.  So lovely to see.

Alan and Ashleigh then headed off to Ikea on a mission to get two of their cuddly golden retrievers, one for Lola and one Ted, the puppy going to Alan's friend Rachel.  As you can see he was successful :-))

David and Jimmy got back from the golf and David was like a dog with two tails as he'd played his best round ever!  Looks like the golf lessons are paying off.  

Between making and eating dinner we unpacked all the doggy stuff and got Lola's crate ready.  The vet bed I ordered hasn't arrived yet.  Hoping it will be here tomorrow but no panic if not as I have plenty of alternatives.

The rest of the night has been spent answering a constant stream of texts, emails, messenger and whatsapp messages from everyone asking about Lola.  I think I'm going to have to get her an appointment diary to keep track of all her visitors!  :-))

We have puppy proofed the kitchen and garden room as best we can.  David will tackle Alan's sitting room in the morning as it's full of interesting things just as Lola height.

And now it's time for bed.  An exciting and slightly daunting thought that tonight (fingers crossed) is our last night as a non-dog owning family for at least 10 years!  Can't wait!  :-))

I wonder what my blip will be tomorrow night?   And the next....and the next...hahahahaha!
