A Closer Look

For the last week I have been working on a challenge of my own- seven days of blips taken only with my DSLR set to manual exposure. Until now I have been using aperture priority or shutter priority. It turned out to be easier than I imagined, and I have better control over the image I’m after. In this shot of the Gazania I wanted a good depth of field to show the complex nature of the flower. I used a close-up lens attached to my zoom lens. The image has not been cropped. It looks good full screen.

If you want to see how I did with my challenge it starts here. Criticism and suggestions welcome.
