Belle

Last week, Little Miss came home with a note informing us that it was the Book Week Parade on Friday 25th. Little Miss declared that she wanted to be a Disney princess. We were envisaging ruffles and flouncy skirts. However, our little girl had something entirely different in mind. She showed us an image of 'Provincial Belle' and requested that she be able to go as her.

Mr B and I decided that we could knock up an outfit fit for a princess, so off to Lincraft we went, to purchase some very reasonably priced fabric.

Two and a half hours later, Mr B had knocked up a skirt and top, plus apron. I had cooked dinner and created a bow for her hair. Then a foray at the op shop threw up a lovely blouse to go underneath, which we modified slightly.

She went off to school this morning floating on air, our very own Princess Belle.

She's had a lovely day. I had a good day with my students, some of them did presentations today, which was enjoyable; they'd put so much effort into them.

Off to enjoy the weekend now.
