Backblip: Monument Valley Sandstone Arch

Yesterday (Friday 25th) was such a busy day I didn't get round to uploading my blip: we set off at 08.30 and arrived at our next hotel about 23.00! I tried to upload it early this morning (Saturday 26th) but the internet was so slow that the photo had only uploaded by 28% by the time I had to check out.of the hotel. So here it is now.

We had yet another wonderful day on Friday, starting with a revisit to the Arches National Park, where the extra blip was taken. The dead tree looked to me very like the velociraptors in the original Jurassic Park film.

The main photo was taken during our 3-hour evening jeep ride around Monument Valley which is within the large Navajo reserve.  In case you don't know (I didn't), the Navajo Nation has a semi-autonomous Native American territory covering about 17,544,500 acres, occupying portions of northeastern Arizona, southeastern Utah, and northwestern New Mexico in the United States. The scenery is absolutely amazing.

Once more I apologise for not commenting or even thanking folks for stars and very kind hearts - there's just no time. But I do appreciate your support :-)

I hope to backblip today's (Saturday's) photos early tomorrow (Sunday) Mountain Time (7 hours behind BST).
