A Grey Day

But we made the most of it.

Jamie opted for a day off today - there was an option to work in the office.  As it happened it was a good job he chose a lie in since due to a rostering mix up the option was already taken by someone else!   We dropped in to Wharf Station to look through the spare uniform cupboard where we found trousers and a jacket for Jamie.  A cup of tea and a natter with a recently retired volunteer who has moved to live here - she got involved because her now grown son is also a volunteer.  We watched the last train of the day pull out before we left.

Back at the caravan we got the handcycle out.  I've borrowed a bike for the week so we can go out together.  We used the cycle path to get to Tywyn then went on through the town until we hit the sea!  After making  it to the northernmost end of the front we decided to stay and have fish and chips by the sea.  By the time we got back to base we'd done around 7 miles, Jamie's longest venture yet.

As I write the sunset promises a brighter day tomorrow :-)
