Happiness is a Fizzy Drink

A free fizzy drink at that!!!
So rather than heading up to Snowdonia today we had a lazy day until heading to Ikea at about 3pm.
The Little Misses made themselves pancakes for breakfast which is lovely!! As soon as they can cook them by themselves my work will be done.
Ikea was very successful! They insisted on going into the creche which always makes things easier!
I had a mooch round - and picked up things I hadn't gone in for!! - and then tracked down the Billy Bookcases we need. Two big ones and two little ones! I hadn't banked on them being so big and had a job to get them onto a trolley (see extras). Then I had a job to even move the trolley. I thought flatpack furniture was supposed to be flimsy!!!
I picked up the Little Misses and somehow got the trolley to the checkout and down to the carpark.
Then we waited with an open boot for a passer-by to help get the heaviest bookcases in the world into the car.
Luckily two Ikea employees happened along. More lucky for me than them!!
After much head scratching and failed attempts they finally managed to get it all in. And the boot shut. Woohoo!!
Once that was done we headed back into Ikea for a free cup of tea and free fizzy drinks in the cafe.
They tried all the fizzy drinks. Mostly all mixed in together!! Apparently their apple, loganberry and cola connection was particularly delicious!!
I saw that chicken meatballs were new on the menu and Miss L was giddy when I checked and discovered that they are gluten free. Miss E didn't want to stay for dinner, got the hump and ungraciously said in the end - through gritted teeth - that she'd have a salad.
She did at least have the grace to admit that she was totally jealous as she sat chewing on her lettuce watching Miss L eat meatballs and chips!!!!
That'll learn her!!
The passenger seat in the front was all the way forward so Miss L had to squash in with her face practically against the windscreen. It was a slow, careful drive home!
