We met up with Emma this morning at Richmond Station and caught the train to Waterloo. From there we walked along South Bank, stopping off at Nero at the OXO building for a drink, to the Globe Theatre. We did a guided tour of the theatre, very interesting with a knowledgeable guide.

From there we carried on to Southwark and had a look round Borough Market, incredible variety of produce on offer, including live lobsters and foods from all over the world,, and very, very busy.

We then walked across the river to Monument Station and caught the train back to Richmond.

After a stop off in Richmond for another drink Emma went home and we to the hotel. Later we met Emma and Andy at Pizza Express for an evening meal.

The picture is part of the city skyline with Blackfriars Bridge in the fore, and the new Blackfriars Station which spans the river on a railway bridge with entrances on the north and south bank.
